The Nonlinear process control trainers are designed to understand the behaviour of nonlinear process and its control. Nonlinearity in the form of plant structures like conical, spherical and in the form of process value behaviour like pH can be studied using these trainers. The set also consists of nonlinear MIMO systems and its control. These equipments are also Matlab and Labview compatible so that user can test custom algorithm.

pH Process Trainer

The pH Process Trainer is designed to understand the elements of a typical chemical non-linear level process and its control. It is an on-line pH control system includes continuous strong and weak acid supply. The liquids from storage tank are pumped to the mixing tank using peristaltic pumps. The discharge is varied by varying the speed of the pump. A bottom tank will be used to collect the mixed liquids and will be disposed later. Industrial standard continuous pH sensor and controller from manufacturer “Jumo” will be supplied along the hardware setup. These units along with necessary piping are fitted on the support frame. The setup is designed for standalone placement and access. The controller is connected to computer through USB for monitoring and controlling the process. User friendly software will be supplied along with the hardware to perform different set of experiments.

Conical Tank Level Process Trainer

The Conical Tank Level Process Trainer (ACE 302) is designed to understand the elements of a non-linear level process and its control. It consists of conical process tank fitted with a level transmitter and necessary drain valve arrangements. The inlet flow to the tank is controlled by a control valve which operates on a 3 to 15 psi pressure signal. A current to pressure (I/P) converter is used to convert the output of the controller (4-20mA) to the signal pressure. The process parameter is controlled by a microcontroller based digital indicating controller. These units along with necessary piping are fitted on the support frame. The setup is designed for tabletop placement and access. The controller is connected to computer through USB for monitoring and controlling the process. User friendly software will be supplied along with the hardware to perform different set of experiments.

The Spherical Tank Level Process Trainer (ACE 303) is designed to understand the elements of a non-linear level process and its control. The Conical Two Tank MIMO Process Trainer (ACE 305) is designed to understand the elements of an interacting and MIMO non-linear level process and its control. It consists of two conical process tanks fitted with level transmitters and necessary drain valve arrangements. The inlet flow to the tanks is controlled by control valve which operates on a 3 to 15 psi pressure signal. A current to pressure (I/P) converter is used to convert the output of the controller (4-20mA) to the signal pressure. The process parameters are interfaced with computer using National Instruments USB DAQ card. These units along with necessary piping are fitted on the support frame. The setup is designed for tabletop placement and access. The DAQ card is connected to computer through USB for monitoring and controlling the process. User friendly software will be supplied along with the hardware to perform different set of experiments.

Linear & Non Linear Multi Tank Level Process Trainer

The Linear & Non Linear Multi Tank Level Process Trainer is a complex system, designed to understand the elements of a linear and non-linear level process and its control. It consists of five numbers of cylindrical level tanks (Quadruple + One Tank), one conical and one spherical tank fitted with required numbers of level transmitter and necessary drain valve arrangements. The setup consists of supply water tank with two variable speed positive displacement pumps for water circulation. The process parameters are controlled through software and the output is fed to variable frequency drive used to vary the speed of the pumps. The process parameters are interfaced with computer using USB DAQ card. These units along with necessary piping are fitted on the support frame. These units along with necessary piping are fitted on standalone support structure. The controller is connected to computer through USB for monitoring and controlling the process. User friendly software will be supplied along with the hardware to perform different set of experiments.
